The goal of the WTHS Economics Club is to ensure that every member understands essential economic and financial literacy concepts, benefits by using economic ways of thinking and problem solving skills, and has a continuous understanding of the nature and structure of the global economy and its relationship to individual liberty and freedom. As part of its purpose, the goal is also to help students become more productive members of society, prudent savers and investors, knowledgeable consumers, entrepreneurial thinkers and competent financial decision makers.

The club intends to meet every Wednesday starting in late January. This is to ensure that students are taking time to prepare for the EconChallenge which happens annually in March.
