CIVITAS, the Social Studies HONORS Society at William Tennent High School, is currently seeking eligible students to complete and submit applications for our HONORS Society for the 2023-2024 Academic Year!
Applications will be available outside Room C217/C218 (in the 10th Grade House) and Room A104/A105 (in the 11th Grade House). The Applications will be available starting Wednesday, 5/25/23. The Requirements for consideration for the Social Studies Honors Society, CIVITAS, are:
3 Credits of Social Studies Courses completed
GPA in those courses of 3.2.
A completed CIVITAS Application
An endorsement of a Social Studies Teacher
Students have until FRIDAY, June 2, 2023 to submit full and complete applications in order to be considered for induction into CIVITAS.

For Interested Students: National Honor Society is an invitation-only organization. Students whose transcripts show an academic history of 3.7 and higher at the close of this year (2023-2024) on their transcripts will receive an invitation to apply. That is the "entrance door" to applying. Once invitations are sent, After that, the applicants are welcome to submit an application for consideration, according to national criteria based on leadership inside and outside of school, consistent proof of community service, and testimonies of character. Last year's application and general description are on Centennial's website under clubs/activities for Tennent. Feel welcome to stop by A117 and speak personally with Mrs. K-B if you wish to discuss it further.
The William Tennent Boys Volleyball team was victorious last night in their match against Haverford High School. The Panthers outlasted the Fords 3 sets to 2 to earn 3rd place in the District One Tournament.
Outstanding performances were turned in by Anthony Buono, Nick Buono, Connor Tucholski, Sean Kelly, Dave Dziekonski, Sean Stewart, John Ellis, Sam Vernick, Eric Korchuk and Grady Keyser.
With the win the team qualifies for the State Tournament for the first time since 2009. Congratulations!

The William Tennent Boys Volleyball team celebrated Senior Night last night in championship fashion by beating Council Rock North 3 sets to 1. Finishing the regular season with a 12-4 overall record, the team will be recognized with a share of the Suburban One League National Championship and awaits their District One playoff seed. The Panthers will host a District One Home Playoff game on Tuesday, May 16th with their opponent to be determined.
A big shout out to all the fans who have supported the team all season and who cheered them on to win their first league title since 2015. We share this championship with you.
Today will be the last Flack Attack Clue for next year's spring musical. The musical will be announced on Black & White TV on Friday morning!
Flack Attack Clue #9 is that this musical originally had a different title.

You'll hear a diverse collection of songs from Italy, Haiti, and Africa as well as several mainstream hits from ABBA, Michael Jackson, Adele, Bruno Mars, and more! That's this Thursday at 7PM. Admission is free - we hope to see you there!

Flack Attack Clue #7 is that a movie was created that was based on this musical, and it won several awards!
The Muslim Student Association is meeting this Thursday, May 11th to continue with our preserving the environment project. We will be meeting in room C204 at 2:30, and then walk down to the Michelle Caruso Memory Garden to plant flowers, and give back to our community! There will be snacks, and as always new members are always welcome! We hope to see you there.
The William Tennent Boys Volleyball Team will be recognizing their Senior Class before tonight's home match versus Council Rock North. Senior recognition will take place at 6:30 PM and the Varsity match begins at 7 PM. Come out and show your support!

Come out Saturday April 22nd and support the William Tennent Marching Band Food Truck Festival and Clothing Drive. Festivities start at 11am and go on until 5pm. In addition to our 10 amazing food trucks there will be vendor tables, raffle baskets, face painting and games for the kids, and of course performances by the Marching Band! We are also collecting donations for our clothing drive - drop off from 11am -3pm at the side/rear parking lot of the high school.

There will be an Algebra Keystone Review Session held afterschool on Thursday April 27th in the Library.
